Key To My Heart

Do you have the key
To unlock my heart?
Do you know
You?ve already made a start?

Could you make me laugh
More than cry?
Could you make my heart soar,
My spirits fly?

My head screams,
Walk away!
But something inside
Tells me, no stay!

Have I got the strength?
I can but try.
I want to know more,
But I don?t know why.

Do I take the chance?
Can I let you see?
Dare I let my guard down
And show you the real me?

Dear Friend

I want to be held loosely,
With respect and freedom,
To be myself -
But, tight enough to know you are there.

I do not want to be a burden,
In any way, shape or form,
Nor do I want you to feel this way,
For I know this feeling,
Oh, too - too - well.
Emotions run wild,
Emotional injury takes place,
And, the body,
Like a broken wing on a bird,
Needs time to heal.

As the healing process begins,
I trust that the pain will pass,
With God by my side -
I will be stronger,
Happier, more sensitive and aware,
To be fully accepted by you, my friend.

Someone Cares

When the day has come and gone,
and you're sitting there all alone.

Feeling angry, depressed and rejected,
wondering if your life can ever be
corrected.

Needing someone to call your very own,
someone who's love and devotion is clearly
shown.

Someone to sit and talk to, who will
understand your dreams, your wishes,
and the things you would like to plan.

Someone to laugh and have fun with,
Someone to help you enjoy life just
a little bit.

Life does have it's way of dealing
low blows, Leaving you confused,
unhappy and wandering which way to go.

When all your efforts to find or recapture
happiness have been at their best, Then only
God can do the rest.
